3. Liv & Maddie on Disney Channel. Liv & Maddie is about twin teenage sisters. One is the famous star of a hit television show, the other is an academic overachiever and stand-out athlete at her school. The “drama” of the series unfolds when the first sister’s show wraps and she decides to go back to school along side her twin. Also interesting to add is that the twins parents are both teachers at their high school. I really don’t know very much about the premise aside from that. What I do know is that this series isn’t focused on a talking dog or a psycho puppet like some of Disney’s other series. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

2. The Thundermans on Nickelodeon. This show is about a family of superheroes. More accurately, a family of people with super abilities. It mainly focuses on another set of twins, this time a brother-sister combo. And while I’m not sure what any of the character’s super abilities are, I do know that the sister wants to be an honorable hero, while her brother aspires to one day become a super villain. We will see how this works out. Nickelodeon has been notorious in not properly promoting many of their shows which aren’t made by Dan Schneider. That is another topic for a different time.

1. Sam & Cat on Nickelodeon. Speaking of ol’ Dan Schneider, Sam & Cat is his latest show which is more or less a double spin-off. Jennette McCurdy, who may be best known for playing Sam Puckett on iCarly finds herself getting into the baby-sitting game with Victorious’ Cat Valentine played by Ariana Grande. Viewers of iCarly and Victorious will be familiar with the vast differences in both Sam and Cat’s character traits. One is brutally honest, sometimes violent and will do anything for bacon. The other is a (sometimes) emotionally unbalanced ditzy type with a heart of gold. I’m anxious to see how these two polar opposite characters bond and interact with one another while being responsible for taking care of someone, presumably younger than they are. This show has a TON of hype behind it from the internet world.

All 3 of these shows are already in production, some more so than others. Sam & Cat is set to premiere Saturday June 8th on Nickelodeon. Liv & Maddie has been in the filming stages longer than The Thundermans, which has just recently began. I have no premiere info on these 2 shows other than to look for them this fall.
